Our students emphasize that the support from their tutors is the most valuable aspect of their studies. Your university journey wouldn't be complete without their expertise.

Providing support, feedback, and tutorials, they are here to assist you throughout your module journey.

Assistance throughout your academic journey

For every module you undertake with us, a tutor will be assigned to you. Prior to commencement, your tutor will reach out
to welcome you to the module. They will explain the preferred communication methods, response times, and how best
to reach out to them.

Your instructor will:

  • Evaluate your assignments (TMAs) and offer comprehensive feedback.
  • Direct you to appropriate learning resources to enhance your work.
  • Provide individualized support, whether it pertains to overall study skills or addressing difficulties with a specific subject.
  • Your tutor should be your initial point of contact for academic advice or guidance. They are available to collaborate with
you and comprehend the specific challenges you may encounter.

    Tutorial Sessions

  • Normally, tutorials are conducted online and organized by the module's tutors.
  • Certain online tutorials might be recorded for your convenience, and your tutor will provide additional information on this matter.
  • The majority of tutorials will last for one or two hours, and the decision to attend is left to your discretion.
  • Additional module activities

You might receive invitations to participate in extra learning occasions, like day schools or visits to museums or art galleries,
    typically within Nigeria.

Certain modules incorporate residential schools, providing you with a chance to enhance your practical skills and connect with
fellow students. In certain situations, we may be able to provide an online alternative learning experience as a substitute for a resi-
dential school. If you anticipate challenges attending in-person events, we advise discussing your situation with us before registering.

I felt that I got more support from the LOU than I had at a conventional university. The tutors were always available at the end of a phone or by email. Their support was really good.
